Choose Fastlane (usefastlane.ai) if you want one AI tool that posts to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn, starts free, and offers AI UGC characters (pricing). Choose Relay if TikTok is the channel that matters and you want creators posting your approved drafts from their own accounts (on the Scale plan), plus a team that can make your UGC ads. Both learn your brand from your website and let you swipe to approve, so the decision comes down to channels, creators and price.
Key takeaways
- Fastlane is broader: four platforms, a free plan, AI UGC characters that scale with the plan and an API with an MCP server (homepage).
- Relay’s self-serve product is TikTok only, and the Scale plan includes a network of 50,000 creators who can post your drafts from their own accounts.
- As of October 2026, paid plans start at $29 a month on Fastlane (pricing) and at $49 a month on Relay after a $25 first month (pricing).
- For reach beyond your brand account, Fastlane offers warmed accounts at $100 per account per month plus $1.50 per post (details); Relay Scale includes its creator network in the plan price, though network posts come out of Scale’s 150 a month and aren’t guaranteed to be picked up.

When should you choose Fastlane instead?
- You need more than TikTok. Fastlane publishes to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn (FAQ), and Predis.ai to eight networks.
- You want to start at $0. Fastlane’s free plan needs no card, and its paid Starter plan is $29 a month, $20 less than Relay Starter’s regular price (pricing).
- You want AI presenters. Fastlane advertises 1,000+ AI UGC characters, an AI influencer studio and 2,000+ human UGC clips (homepage). What you get depends on the plan: 25 AI UGC characters on Starter, 500+ characters and 100 human clips on Growth, 2,000+ human clips on Pro (pricing).
- You like browsing trends yourself. Its library of 25,000+ trending videos is tagged by niche, and you can remix any of them (homepage).
- You build with AI agents. Fastlane has an API and MCP server so an agent can create content and post (homepage).
- You want posts tied to site traffic and sales. Fastlane connects to your website to track visitors and content-driven growth, and attributes signups and sales to each ad (homepage, UGC ads).
- You want high volume at a flat price. Pro is $149 a month with no cap on content saves or scheduling, though its AI Studio allowance is still capped at 2,000, about 200 seconds of AI video (pricing).
When should you choose Relay?
- TikTok is your main channel. You would rather focus on one platform than manage four.
- You want creators posting your drafts without paying per account. On Relay Scale ($249 a month after a $149 first month), drafts can go to Relay’s creator network of 50,000 creators, who post them from their own accounts. Network posts share Scale’s 150 a month and aren’t guaranteed to be picked up.
- You also run paid UGC ads. Relay’s managed UGC ads service makes ads at volume from its creator network at about $5 a creative, with a free 15-minute call and 5 UGC ads on Relay to start.
What is the main difference between Relay and Fastlane?
One channel or four?
Fastlane is built to fill a calendar across four platforms from one place. Relay’s self-serve product is built only for TikTok: connect your TikTok once, and Relay spreads what you approve across the month and sends each post to your TikTok inbox on its day, where you add any finishing touches and tap Post.
When you post each draft, turn on TikTok’s AI-generated content setting for realistic AI imagery, and the content disclosure toggle where it applies. If half your audience lives on Reels and Shorts, though, a TikTok-only tool leaves those channels uncovered.
Warmed accounts or a creator network?
Fastlane’s warmed accounts are new TikTok or Instagram accounts in the US or EU, each “created from scratch by a real person on a real phone” and warmed for 5 days in your niche, with account management included. Fastlane’s page adds: “No emulators, no farms.” They cost $100 per account per month plus $1.50 per post upload, and need an active Fastlane subscription.
Relay Scale takes the other route: your drafts can go to creators who post them from their own accounts. (More in AI UGC vs creator UGC.) Neither route guarantees views. TikTok said in a 2020 explainer that follower count is not a direct factor in its recommendations, so a new account can still get views. TikTok’s community guidelines list “using automation to run many accounts or send repetitive content” as spam, a rule that applies equally to Fastlane’s warmed accounts and to the creator accounts in Relay’s network, so every account on either route needs its own distinct posts.
What do you get for the money?
As of October 2026, Fastlane is cheaper at every tier on regular (month-two-onward) prices (pricing): $29, $49 and $149 a month for 20, 100 and uncapped content saves, against Relay’s $49, $99 and $249 for 40, 120 and 300 posts made (20, 60 and 150 sent to your TikTok).
For reach beyond your own account, Fastlane Growth plus 3 warmed accounts posting daily is $49 + $300 + $135 = $484 a month, since 90 distinct posts need Growth’s 100 saves (Starter has 20) (pricing, warmed accounts). Relay Scale is $249 a month ($149 the first month) with the creator network included (pricing), but it is not like for like: network posts come out of Scale’s 150 a month rather than adding to them, and a network post nobody picks up within 7 days comes back to you, so no set number of creator posts is guaranteed.
Fastlane’s AI Studio allowance does not roll over and covers about 25 seconds of AI video on Starter (pricing, terms); our Fastlane pricing guide has the full math. Relay’s fine print: first-month prices ($25, $45 and $149) move to the regular price after month one, you pay $0 today on a 1-day trial that needs a card and converts to the paid first month unless you cancel before it ends, and extra people cost $80 a month each on Growth and $200 on Scale (pricing).
Which Relay limits should you check before you buy?
Beyond needing Reels, Shorts or LinkedIn, skip Relay if you want creators posting your drafts but can’t spend $249 a month, because the creator network is only on Scale. Starter is for one person, so a team needs Growth ($99 a month, up to 3 people). Relay has a 1-day trial that needs a card, not a free plan, so if you want weeks of testing at $0, start on Fastlane’s free plan. And if you only need paid ad creative, talk to Relay’s managed UGC ads team instead of buying a self-serve plan.
How do you switch from Fastlane to Relay?
- Pull your best hooks from Fastlane’s analytics, then check your billing period: Fastlane’s terms say subscriptions are yearly unless otherwise stated.
- If you use warmed accounts, ask Fastlane what happens to them when you cancel; its pricing describes them as managed inside Fastlane.
- Start Relay: paste your website or App Store link and answer the one-tap questions.
- Connect your TikTok once, then swipe through the first drafts and edit the words on any you keep.
- Need both? Keep Fastlane for Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn and move TikTok to Relay, so no account gets the same post twice.
